- Sliding Door Designs
Sliding Doors are made as single or multi panel designs.
A Single Panel Design has one panel in any of the 35 colours in our range, as well as in mirror or coloured glass. It can be an open door as in Design 1, or divided with Designer Bars to create any of the designs from 2 to 14. The door can be made from any of the Frame Finishes shown on this website. Photos of single panel designs are on the Panel Doors page.
A Multi Panel Design is constructed of different panels in different colours and textures. It can be in any mixture of mirrors, coloured glass or the 35 colours in our range. Photos of some examples of these doors are on our Mirrors and Panels Page.
- Sliding Door Frame Finishes

- Mirrors and Panels
Sliding doors can be made as multi panel doors, using a mixture of mirrors, plain, frosted or coloured glass, and panels.
A very attractive look can be produced with a door made, for example, with two panels in the same colour as the wardrobe, and a mirror or section of glass in the centre of the door. Equally attractive are doors made from a completely different colour to the wardrobe – a real contrast can be achieved.
Doors don't necessarily need to have solid panels - a mixture of frosted and plain mirrors also works well to produce a modern look. Bronze mirror gives a very warm effect.
The door stiles (the framework around the door) along with the bar across the centre of the door, can be made of the same or similar colour as the door panels, to blend in. An alternative is to make the stiles and centre bar from a more striking colour, such as silver or black, and make the framework stand out. The options are tremendous!
To give even more choice, the wardrobe can be built in any of the 35 colours in our range
- Glass Doors
Glass Doors are available with Clear, Frosted or Coloured Glass centre panels and each has it's own advantages, depending on the look that is required.
All these panels produce clean, modern lines, and a wardrobe that is bang up to date!
Clear Glass can be used to good effect with a voile or curtain on the inside of the door, to provide colour, texture and style. Besides looking good in it's own right, it also gives the opportunity to alter the colour and theme of the room by simply changing the voile or curtain - change it to match the sheets or bedspread for example!
Frosted Glass gives a hint of what the wardrobe holds, but at the same time is obscure enough to leave the detail of the interior to the imagination. It too can be used with a voile or curtain, but also works well on its own.
Coloured Glass is available in blue, grey and green through to black, white, red and yellow - 15 colours in total! Different shades can be used to either complement or contrast with a room's colour scheme.
- Mirror Doors
Mirrors make any room seem more spacious, with light being reflected off the mirrors and around the room. The reflection of the room itself in the mirrors also gives an impression of more depth.
Bronze mirrors create a softer feel to a room, and generally set a more subdued theme. These often work well with a bronze or silver framework to the mirror door.
Frosted mirrors make for a modern appearance, retaining a bright look, but with a more subtle tone. These normally contrast well when mixed on a wardrobe frontage with straightforward mirror doors.
Colour is still available with mirror doors, since the wardrobe carcase can be built in all the colours of our sliding door range.
- Panel Doors
Panel doors can create both colour and contrast in a room. The doors themselves can be a simple, plain panel, or more decorative with Designer Bars across the front.
The wardrobe and doors are all available in any of the 35 colours in our range, from paler shades such as Maple to the darker shade of Walnut.
Panels can be mixed with mirrors, too. A wardrobe can be built with a mirror door and a panel door, or for more doors a mixture of mirrors and panels. There is also the option of splitting the door into various sections - see the section Mirrors and Panels on this website.
Any door from our Hinged Door Range can be supplied as a sliding door. Have a look at all the styles available in the Hinged Wardrobes section. There is a picture of a Canterbury style door on this page.
